Writing from SEO perspective

Articles writing or simple, writing content for your website have to be done with your keywords in mind. You write because and about these keywords.

1. Find out which keywords (one word or a phrase) are best workings for you: the two words keywords are usually very competitive, meaning that many people are searching for it and many website owners are also targeting it as well. So, you have high demand and high supply. These shorter competitive terms will be part of your long term strategy for increasing your website’s ranking for those particular phrases. The long tail keyword phrase is three to five words long. It is usually very specific and has much less competition than the shorter phrases, but less people match your keywords as well.

2. Focus on maximum three keywords for a page (or for an article). Be aware about that, you can not use all the keywords that match with your activity. Choose maximum three and focus on them when you write.

3. Optimal article (or page) length for the Web is anywhere from 250 words to 500 words. If it is not enough to finish the subject, it is recommended to split the long article or page for easier reading.

4. Now, your keywords have to do their job and you need to help them. The places that is essential to use these keywords are: The titles, the fist word in fist paragraph, in each paragraph (because you write about them and because of them), in the last paragraph as conclusion. Use your keywords as many times as possible and give your massage an commercial look.

5. If it is about an article, you shout not forget about resource boxes. This is the "author bio" that is below your article body and it's also known as your "SIG" (short for Signature). Here are the essential items that should be in your RESOURCE BOX:

  • Your Name: You'd be amazed at how many folks forget to include their name in the RESOURCE BOX. Your name and optional title should be the first thing in your resource box.
  • Your Website Address: in valid URL form.
  • Your Elevator Pitch: This is 1 to 3 sentences that encapsulates the essence of what makes you and your offering unique. Also known as your USP (Unique Selling Proposal).
  • Your Call To Action: You've got them warmed up and now it's time to lead them to BUY from you or visit your website. This is where you "Ask For The Sale." Best to only give (1) specific call to action.

6. For these ones which are familiar with HTML coding, the very sensitive paces to use keywords are alt and title tags of pictures or links. The importance of that link is highlighted by the context in which it is found (your article). You increase your website traffic by getting a higher ranking for this keyword.
