Editing and Writing Services

So you think you need an editor…? — you’re probably right. Because if you think what you’ve written needs someone to look it over and fix it, chances are it really does.

Then there’s the other problem. You can’t even get past the first stage. The material hasn’t been written; because… well, because you just aren’t good at that kind of thing.

Makes perfectly good sense! — we all have our specialist areas.

Mine’s the field of editing, and that includes writing.

That’s why I’ve joined the Olala team (all specialists in their fields) — to add to their lineup of experts.

It’s nice to become one of a group of people who are all really knowledgeable on their various topics; but even nicer to be able to hold my head up with pride in such impressive company. Because I am proud — very proud — of what I do, and nearly all of my clients have said that I should be so (the others were people who think that when you’ve paid for something you don’t need to say ‘thank-you’).

So my editing and writing services are now on tap for Olala clients who

Prefer to have a professional do their writing;
Simply don’t have the time to spare for writing anything;
Have written down the basics of what they want, but would like an editor to put it together;
Have written ‘the article’ but have that feeling mentioned above – you know, the one where you aren’t really happy with it;

I belong to the Society of Editors (NSW) Inc.
Mid-2008, I completed my Postgraduate studies in editing, specialising in non-fiction writing; and I gained a Distinction — which I tell you not for the purpose of boasting, but to let you know that you're safe in my hands.
I have the CELTA qualification from Cambridge, which qualifies me for TESOL — Teaching English as a Second or Other Language.
I'm doing a Masters in Writing & Literature (Professional Writing); I believe that improving my own writing can only be of assistance in my editing work, but also...
I belong also to the Australian Society of Authors, as I'm working on a personal memoir (nearly finished, and with interest expressed already).
